Investors in Diversity Assessor
As a consultant for the Irish Centre for Diversity, Jennifer is responsible for assessing organisations against the Investors in Diversity standard. Jennifer is a qualified and experienced assessor, teacher, internal verifier, leader, manager, executive coach and mentor. Prior to working with the Irish Centre for Diversity, Jennifer led on the Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) agenda for more than 10 years in the third sector. This included: leading on EDI recruitment initiatives; providing corporate EDI training; supporting staff coaching and mentoring programmes; advising partner organisations on best practice in relation to EDI; coordinating staff discussion groups; carrying out audits on EDI practice; data analysis and report writing. As a result of exceptional EDI practice, the organisation achieved a significant number of EDI related awards including the Excellence in Diversity & Equality Award (awarded by the British Quality Foundation), Small to Medium Sized Business of the Year and Charity of the Year (Awarded by the National Centre for Diversity), and the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation. In 2018, Jennifer became a Fellow of the National Centre for Diversity in the UK. Jennifer is particularly passionate about addressing inequality for employees with a disability. In 2020, her research on disability disclosure was published by the International Journal of Educational Management.
