Jo Barton has worked as a freelance consultant for 14 years specializing in organisational development and culture change. She works with the National and Irish centre for Diversity delivering on diversity and inclusion change programmes. As a qualified trainer with 30 years’ experience in the field of equality, which includes working for the Commission for Racial Equality and the Disability Rights Commission Jo has provided advice and representation at the Employment Tribunal and it is this experience which informs the training that she designs and delivers.
Jo has many years’ experience in advising leadership teams and delivering board sessions and she has facilitated numerous focus groups and all staff events. Clients include various construction, rail and private businesses, as well as the public and voluntary, housing, health and education sectors.
Jo has also been the Equality Advisor to the Scottish Ombudsman. Her approach is collaborative and constructive, with every project developed and tailored to clients’ requirements.
