Jo-Barton
Trainer / Advisor
Jo has worked with the Irish Centre for Diversity since it started and has delivered many FREDIE™ (Fairness, Respect, Equality, Diversity, Inclusion & Engagement) change programmes in Ireland. Jo is a qualified trainer with over 30 years’ experience, seven years of which were in the UK as a Director of a Racial Equality Council and five years at the UK’s Disability Rights Commission, Jo has also provided advice and litigation support to clients and it is this experience which informs the disability equality training that she designs and delivers.
Jo’s experience spans all areas of FREDIE including delivering training that covers Inclusive Leadership, Inclusive Recruitment and others, as well as advising leadership teams, action planning, policy drafting, delivering board sessions, facilitating focus groups, speaking at all-staff events and more. Clients, across many sectors include various construction, rail and private businesses, as well as the public and voluntary, housing, health, finance and education sectors.
Jo’s approach is collaborative and constructive, with every project developed and tailored to clients’ requirements.
